Krogh Welcomes Massa back to 29th CD Race
Lynn Krogh, Chair of the New York State Young Republicans, today welcomed Congressman Eric Massa to his race for re-election, which many say began months ago.
“Eric Massa’s announcement is the freshman Congressman’s way of saying that he really wants to continue not representing his constituents and keep colleague Charles Rangel making the Capitol proud,” quipped Krogh. “His few months in office have been just as unsuccessful as the Obama administration and the time is coming where we will need to get real change in DC.”
Earlier this year, the Republican Mayor of Corning, Tom Reed, made his intentions clear of challenging Massa next year and has already raised over $130,000.
Peter Haliday, Chair of the Steuben County Young Republicans remarked, “Tom Reed’s message of limited government and personal responsibility is resonating with voters as he seeks to represent the interests of his district. This is exactly why he has raised more than twice what any new candidate has raised at his point in the race.”
Massa has not been seen much in his district since being elected and it took him over seven months to post important issues on his congressional web site.
“The YRs will be focusing on this important seat,” said Krogh. “This will certainly be a key topic of discussion on our online show, ‘The Right Hook,’ which can be heard on Wednesdays at 9PM on blogtalkradio.com.”
