New York - Meet the hottest rising star in politics!

Assembly Marc Molinaro (R-Tivoli) won the race for Dutchess County Executive. The county executive-elect told a room full of supporters late Tuesday night his administration with be an inclusive one.  Check out the video for the whole speech.

Molinaro will replace County Executive William Steinhaus, who is retiring after 20 years as the county’s chief executive.

Dutchess County also maintained a Republican majority in the Dutchess County legislature retaining at least 17 of the 25 seats, with two other races up in the air on election night.

Republican newcomers in Dutchess are Town of Poughkeepsie Police Chief Peter Wilkinson, who was unopposed in the District 2 seat held by Suzanne Horn, and Hyde Park Town Board member Sue Serino, who succeeds Republican Donald Sadowski in District 4.

Congratulations to County Executive-Elect Molinaro and all the Republican elected officials - and to the Dutchess YRs!
